Aleksandra Rasulic

Artist Belgrade, Serbia

Born in Belgrade, Serbia in 1986.
Graduated on Faculty of Fine Arts, Belgrade in 2010.

Aleksandra grew up in an apartment building in Belgrade, Serbia, where the water pressure was very low. That means that there were many days the taps only gave a few drops. So, Aleksandra went on her daily mission for water in the restaurant on the ground floor. Mostly she succeeded to fill some Coca-Cola bottles with the vital liquid.

Maybe that is the reason she likes to express herself in water-colours (aquarelles) and put interest in using taps and other water related objects in her work.
By exploring these objects that we use in many different ways, together with the indication of importance of water, the whole theme gets an intimate note.
